Always well received, our annual ED critical care conference is not to be missed if you are in the area. Hope to see you there.
Each fall, the Massachusetts General Hospital Emergency Department hosts their annual Bedside Ultrasound CME course. Mount Sinai’s own Bret Nelson joined an international faculty for this year’s offering.
Instructors from Boston, New York, Saudi Arabia, Spain, and Thailand covered emergency and critical care topics for the two-day course. The course is directed by Vicki Noble, MD, RDMS.
The American Academy of Emergency Medicine will host its 16th annual scientific assembly from February 15-17 in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace. An innovative pre-conference course on emergency ultrasound will be held on February 14th. If you will be attending the AAEM assembly, or consider an ultrasound course to be a good prelude to a romantic evening with that special someone, please consider registering for the course! A detailed course description for this CME course can be found here.
The annual Sinai PA Conference took place on 9/12/2009. The division of Emergency Ultrasound ran a course on peripheral line placement under ultrasound.

Attendees were enthusiastic and placed angiocaths under ultrasound guidance using our vessel phantoms. In fact, some were so eager that they were absolutely covered in gel by the end of the conference. Next year we will remember to bring towels.

March 8, 2010: the Emergency and Critical Care Ultrasound course returns to The Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Mark your calendars now. This year we expect to improve on the success of last years program and deliver lectures of the high quality you received last year to a larger audience.
Stay tuned!
