Hint:
Ultrasound probes cost a little more than gel or TranSeptic spray
The slots on the sides of the machine are designed to hold the very expensive and relatively fragile ultrasound transducers. The transducers should have priority for the slots. If you find yourself tossing the transducers under the machine while half-empty gel bottles are sitting pretty in the holsters, you are doing it wrong.
Imagine driving home after a long day to discover your son left his Big Wheel in your driveway. Do you park on the street because your driveway is full? Or would you move the plastic Big Wheel and put your car where it belongs?
